Ecosystems Awareness Fund (EAFund) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2021 with the mission to research, explore, and disseminate information on human activities and initiatives aimed at protecting, restoring, and enhancing environmental quality towards good environmental integrity, human cultural and economic viability.

EAFund was founded in 2021 by a group of environmentalists, activists, and community leaders who were concerned about the increasing threats to the environmental sustainability and human welfare in Cameroon. The organization's founders believed that there was a need for a dedicated organization that could research, explore, and disseminate information on environmental issues.

The organization was legalized in December 2022 with Registration number 00002062/ARDA/JO6/A2/ALPAS/APPB of December 06, 2022. EAFund is headquartered in Yaoundé, Cameroon, and has a team of experienced professionals with a passion for conservation and sustainability.

What We Do

At Ecosystems Awareness Fund, our mission is to protect ecosystems and promote sustainable environmental management. Through our dedicated efforts, we work to raise awareness and disseminate vital information on the impact of human activities on the environment. Our work is focused on six key thematic areas of action, each essential in our pursuit of a harmonious coexistence with nature and progress:

• (1) Animals and Wildlife Protection: We are committed to the preservation and protection of biodiversity, safeguarding the habitats of diverse fauna and flora.
• (2) Ecosystems and Biodiversity Conservation: Our efforts are geared towards preserving and restoring ecosystems, and mitigating environmental degradation through sustainable practices and advocacy.
• (3) Peoples and Human Cultural Diversity: We recognize the intrinsic link between human cultural diversity and the preservation of ecosystems, and we aim to empower communities to be stewards of the environment.
